One time my ice cream cone fell down flat on some stairs, it was raining lightly and i was feeling real depressed because I was doing a bunch of pills at the time. then, elliott smith came with a new ice cream cone to cheer me up. it was so beautiful, and surreal, if all too brief. I cried, but it was tears of elation.

RIP elliott, we hardly knew ye

I'm just gonna brag about this the whole day. Here's the only place people would understand.

I can't believe he's gone when I listen to his music. I don't want to believe it. I go on youtube all the time watching his bootlegs. The worst is having to watch the memorial wall videos. Gosh it hurts so bad.

it is very sad. he has been gone five years now. but he's still alive, to me, he's still around

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Elliott Smith's death and we're thinking of doing a small tribute show. The format will be pretty simple each person get 10-15 mins to play either a cover of one or two of his songs or a songs inspired by/ related to Elliott's death.
