Elliott Smith

Hello, I was wondering if anyone know there's an Elliott Smith tribute gig coming up? Since 21st October is the 5th year anniversary of Elliott's death. There are many tributes/memorials held in many countries according to the official site but none listed Singapore. I thought maybe the organiser did not inform the site maybe?

i don't think there are enough Elliott Smith fans in Singapore. i would love to know if anyone is going to organise one too. i would go for sure

i know i'll be in my bedroom playing his albums whilst contemplating life and death and tripping balls

someone please organise one. or i'll be stuck at home alone uploading an Elliott cover to youtube and i might kill myself cause it's cool to kill yourself and cause Elliott killed himself and it would be cool i dunno i'm so cool

actually there are theories that he was murdered, but not enough evidence to prosecute the main suspect. but that's another issue altogether.

i'm not much for attending/playing tribute gigs, but i think for Elliott Smith i'd definitely make an exception.

21st is in two weeks. Kinda late to organise one now. Unless just a small party memorial. There was a Jeff Buckley tribute gig last year I think. I didn't think he had that many fans either. But it happened. We need this memorial. Anyone's got a big house? :-D

yeah he might have been murdered... but he was, anyway, under high risk of suicide. suicide sounds more probable to me. he was doomed from the start. it was in the singing and the strumming, oh man i even saw it coming.

we should totally organise something small of our own. count me in.

And he was quiting drugs at the time. Things like these always happen to someone quiting. Emotions aren't stable. I would think he killed himself. But sometimes, I'm afraid I'm betraying him if he didn't do it.

There should be something that needs to be done in rememberance of this once depressed soul. He's amazing, he has sad fingers.

Either/Or and XO are both excellent albums to start out with, and quite easily available.

Geez. I can't believe I miss him so much. It hurts listening to his music, his voice. Come back to us Elliott!

i wish to have hawt man sex with elliott smith

not really, but still.

at least we still have bob dylan and nick cave. or sufjan stevens or beirut, or teitur, or even connor oberst. ok what other quirky singer-songwriters do hipsters latch onto these days?
