How many of you have elec kits at home/in your studio? How many of you like the idea of a practice kit being electronic? How many of you think you oughta be like DragonForce's Macintosh (hope i got that right) and go electronic full-time? How many of you think they are a waste of dough?

And I do not want to relate this thread to the other one about electronic kits. This is my personal question :)

i dunno man i'm quite divided to tell u the truth.
i think a practice kit is gd for co ordination excercise, where dynamics and touch isn't a big factor.
a elec prac kit is dangerous on certain pts

1. ur muscles need to readjust when u play a acoustic kit.
2. u lose the feel and touch and start to sound harsh. not smooth u know.

I don't see a reason to hate them, really. They're just another tool in the box. If it works for your task at hand, use it. If something else works better for that particular task, use it.

E-kits are fun when I think of the possibilities. Would be real fun to make some solo compositions with all the patches of so many different instruments at your fingertips.

im a acoustic to e-kit user here, i dun really think that it will spoil ur rudiment playing or wad so ever actually. is juz the attitude u put in when u play. dun be lazy and keep relying on the rebound given by the pad but rather use ur wrist like how u play on the acoustic set. i own both set before and wad i can sae is not much of the diff but e-kit really give u a big range of sound to play with. juz take a look at akira jimbo  not total e-kit but e-kit are good in certain way juz like the acoustic set have it good points :D

Juz my 2 cents.. :)
