GREEETINGS from sunny Sydney!loveYour Abang here is Down Undah tagging along like a remora with Singapore band Electrico, who are on their second stop of their three-city hop, skip and jump along the Eastern seaboard of Australia.
Anyway, Sydney offers wonderful things for rock trios: Like taking a backstage tour of the Sydney Opera House, going on a Harley ride and getting burnt at Bondi beach. Oh, and of course, doing a gig at the Oxford Art Factory, which is neither a factory nor has any visible signs of art when rock trios gig there.
But hey, enough of my yakkin’, as director Marti DiBergi once said, let’s rock.
First night in Sydney at Low 302, a club with live music but better food apparently
Posing for some schnapps
Checking out what the local music scene as to offer...
...The Whipped Cream Chargers. That's their name. Really.
Monday morning 6.30am. Hence the weird faces.
The original Electric Company: Keith, Dave, William and Desmond.
The Opera House: It's big. Really.
William's percussion set. Just joking.
Desmond: He is the king of his world
Electrico prep up for their Harley ride
Desmond on a Harley. Really.
Electrico after their Harley ride: (from left) Dave, William and Desmond.
Electrico showing how they evolved.
Electrico soak up the sun at Bondi Beach
...while I soak up the "hum"
Anyway, that’s all we have for today. Tune in again to see what happens when Electrico does a gig at the Oxford Art Factory.
