electric shock from my guitar

heyy . I need to know something here .
Here goes

I always used my RP50 pedal efx to play my yamaha strat guitar . But just a sudden . Whenever my elbows touches the standard bridge , I feel like i kanna electric shock like dat . I was using my orange TGM acoustic amp , but when i use my Marshall MG series 15CDR nothing happens .

Help plz .

This probably has to do with grounding issues. It means when you touch your bridge, you are the easiest path for the electricity.

There should be a remedy. Let the electronic pros come in.

just change the Plug head to a 3 pin plug, simple.

the solder to ground your guitar could have been knocked off. Check that out and fix it pronto. Beez at Katong or Luthermusic or Standard Value could help you out with good service.

I don't think it's a problem with your amps. Have you resolved the grounding issue?

shocking hazzard

i've read somewhere , i have the data on my pc but i forgot where did i put it...
there is a ground cable going to your bridge... cut it !! and link it with a resistor and a capacitor in parallel... i forgot the value though ...

but ive tried it using only 2 cap in parallel with high value mF.. well worth to try...

Anti-shock Circuit - Another recommended use for a cap (.001uf, 500 volt minimum rating) and resistor (220K ohm) in parallel is an "anti-shock" circuit wired between the control plate ground and the string or bridge ground. It prevents electrocution due to a mismatched ground between a guitar amp and a PA system.


this is for the treble bleed (maybe u have a time to change this too)
