Electric leakage / grounding issue

Hello fellow softies!

I have an issue with my guitar setup. Ever since i bought my second hand vox lil' night train 2 months ago, i realised that i will feel very tiny electrical zaps coming from the metal parts of my guitar (including the strings, bridge etc) if i touch it with certain parts of my body which has thinner skin. Thankfully my fingers or palms dont feel them. The electrical shocks arent a big nuisance but im concerned that it will get worse.

Im not too sure what to do. There is always an audible hiss going on, but whenever i touch the metal parts it will go piak (a minor one) then the hiss will be greatly reduced if I keep in contact with the metal part. This is even more obvious if my distortion pedal is turned on. Whenever i touch the screws on the input jack on my guitar, the hiss is greatly amplified. I dont know if its a problem with my guitars grounding or the amp problem.

Is there a way to fix this problem or at least pinpoint the part that I need to look at?

Thank you!

your amp has only 2pin.
Change it to Singapore type 3pin socket.
Connect the centre pin (EARTH) to the metal part of your Amplifier chasis panel using a wire. I will also reduce the AC hum from your guitar as well. Or find a friend that knows ac wiring to do this for you.
I had the same issue with the Randall RX15 after changing to 3 pin socket and replace the AC wire the hum goes away.

Will it work if i simply get a new 3 pin power plug? Just wondering, does the male 3 pin power connector on amp itself also has that middle pin for earth?

Updated: I used my old computer power plug which has the same connector but 3 pin and it works! My problem is solved now. No more buzzing sound and amps sound much clearer now! Thanks!
