Yo guys!

Was wondering whether there are any decent electric guitars for kids and where to get them? I think the regular sized guitars are too big man...

Thanks!

For a good acoustic, the Baby Taylor is GREAT. Ard $500... its an excellent guitar on its own too. :)

Electrics... well... erm... Samick has a series and I think, short of boutique travel guitars (> $1k), its the best minis around. They have bridges with adjustable saddles, which is a BIG plus, but you need to change the tuners badly.

Anyway, I've been teaching a 6 yr old boy, he is on a Baby Taylor, and an 8 yr old girl, she's on a Congress baby classical. Both fare quite well on the smaller scale!

For the pee wee... you can't adjust individual saddles... so intonation is... well.. compromised a lot.

I would think Samick's baby guitars are more well made and worth it than the pee wee...

BUT. The Vee Wee rocks.

I got a Pee Wee that I used to take travelling a lot bought 2nd hand from fellow Softie. When I got it, it wouldn't stay in tune for more than 2 notes, but I adjusted the intonation myself and replaced the machine heads and now it is quite stable and in tune.
