Electric Bass with NYLON STRINGS???

hey guys.. I'm just wanna ask a question here..

My cousin told me that his bro had this electric bass with nylon strings.. is there such thing??

if it's electric, it could be tape wound strings. i've seen sets from fender and rotosound.

nah cant be double bass dont think double bass uses nylon. anw dbass strings are expensive!
