Yep. Sometimes I know all these metal songs just by watching shows like WWE and listening to various soundtracks.

Hey you, im guessin you're a beginner at guitar? correct me if im wrong. Me too. Ive just started playing for a week.

I just wanna share some of my resources with you for getting into metal, you can check out my thread: "Metalheads, help me!" there are alot of nice ppl helping me telling which step i should take.

Well my whole point is, i wanna share something that i found helpful for me besides great advices from fellow softies. Look up Metal Method. Its a 5 stage DVD which covers everything from the basics of metal (barre chords etc etc.) to getting into metal (If your goal is towards metal only). Hint: Use torrents to look it up. Its free.

Besides that, im sure youve heard about guitar pro. Use it!

Ask fellow softies if you have any questions (it is good to ask). Hope this helps. Let our guitar journey begin and take us somewhere one day.

yeah, i'm just a beginner. started out a few months ago. i have learnt seek and destroy and creeping death so far. (without the solos of course ). hope to start going for classes soon. thanks for the help. and 6 hours is a long time man. maybe i should also start practicing longer.

For metal, don't emphasize on rhythm alone.
Train lead as well.
Once you can shift position and get the chord shapes down you should be okay.
6 hours practice is alot...
