Metal is quite difficult I guess. I remember starting off playing easier stuff like Sabbath's Paranoid, For Whom The Bell Tolls and Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit(not metal) and just try here and there sooner or later play harder stuff. Try Iron Man, not a bad song either for beginners.

'Enter sandman' by Metallica is really the easiest metal song I've tried, but I don't memorize the solo. :mrgreen:

If you want to try something a bit more difficult in terms of speed but is still technically quite easy, try "Nightcrawler" by Judas Priest. It's easy once you've got the speed in my opinion. And it trains your speed.
