as I usually say,when I wear earplugs...somehow I lose my sense of timing.
sometimes I don't but that's very rare.
usually I just go out of time and such...and can't hear myself at all.
I play guitar. and urmm..hi hat..I don't think I can hear it that clearly with my ear protection on. But hi-hats are quite a hearing killer if the room is silent.
ya cos i usually take time reference to the hi hat. that's if im not being followed in the first place. drums are ear busters lah, especially the cymbals
i just got a pair of ety earplugs. got plain clear coloured ones with a plain black strap. havent tried in a loud jam setting, but it sure works well in the library. now i have peace and privacy anywhere, everywhere
Haha, well, volume control is a requirement when i'm looking for a drummer, though its not stated, and when somebody is getting overpowered, everyone else, volume down, NOT his volume up. Works wonders, no ringing in ears.
