Been in contact wif DW dealer for every new color introduction. There's no Black Sparkle officially and neither is shown on their web. The only thing is that they mite have it on special custom order.

alamak guys, don't worry la. If you really wanna buy Collectors set, can order to any colour or finishes you want. DW will do their best to customize the set to your needs.... :lol:

js music's staff told me that that set comes with satin hardware. that's what i was told. :?:

Chrome satin? Nice. Would be even magnificent if its in gold.

wOW the thought of havin a DW set at home is really awesome.... but in actual fact i dont think i'd ever wanna own one unless i have too much money to spare.

My school concert band uses a 6-piece set and everything sounds great but man the sustain is really irritatingly long but thats the least of the problems. I cant take the hardware man, its really bad, not only its painful to use, the thread on the screws breaks easily, actually alot of the parts breaks or dents easily and its only 5 years old. I have a pearl forum set and that last longer....... If i were to get one, i would wanna change all the hardware to yamaha or pearl or tama.

All of us have different views on DW and these are mine, i was once in ur position until i got to experience it. Maybe you wanna try it out before you get one.

Some of us here had long-time experience wif DWs too, so ya. Hardware-wise, since its a school property, there mite b lotsa hands handling it and since it does not belong to any of the students, some mite jus chose the selfish way of handling stuff. Experiences and opinions vary, and they don't mean to be related.

Hey everyone, please do keep this in mind:

Singapore is a tropical country, it's humid. So we must take good care of ur musical equipments well. For hardwares, in humid country like singapore, it will rust easily and won't last long without proper care. Have to keep the store area dry - you need de-humidifier, to keep the shell and hardwares dry...

You can either use the normal Thirsty Hippo and replace it monthly or u can use the electric-dehumidifier.

I own dw sets and i sell DW sets as well. If yours cheaper, might as well we get it from you... Isn't it right? Can even custom order... :lol:

Nice finish, and it being a Finish Ply, wouldnt cost too bad, though the satin chrome hardware will bring it up jus a lil tad higher. Bro, is JS Music anywhere near Bt Bintang? Cos got a gig there on 8th Dec and tot of shopping around after tat.

haha :lol: you can go boon studio and check out the dw set la. am quite bz these days with nitely performance and sales work in the day, not to mention time with my kids. If i have the time, will definitely take some pix of the kit as it is stored at my fren studio :lol:
