DW DRum SET

DW kits are amazing for the price... but not practical (in my opinion) unless you intend to use your DW kit for gigging.

Hey dude, post pics after you get your kit! I love seeing DW kits.

Ok, check wif Ranking again today wif regards to their DW drums. They got 2 set in warehouse, Excel tat is. One of the colors are Satin Oil Natural and the other Lacquer Specialty Royal Fade. 6-pc set and cost abt 7.9k. Not too shabby. So those interested can go check it out.

I feel that even if you only use your kit for home practice, drummers are also entitled to use good quality drums. Why deprive yourself of that if you can afford it?

haha use at home only mah.. very ex leh.. then only your hear.. then somemore alot of people go jamming studios.. haha drumset not utilised.. haha.. although everyone loves good drums
i wan them too.. can afford buy..

Hi-end sets will neva come wif cymbals usually. Hardwares, maybe. Specs, well not too sure bout the sizes, but its a maple Collectors' series and tink it comes wif the FAST toms setup, nice. Oh well, since the Workshop series has been discontinued, tis their only series. Oh ya, i forgot, they have a Graphics finish set too but its more expensive than Satin and Lacquer, not too sure abt which Graphics finish was it though..

You can custom-order any sizes and specs for DW Collectors drum sets.
But What we have here is the normal 6-piece Dw Collectors kit that comes with basic hardwares: 14"snare, 10"12"14"16"toms and 22"kick.

Satin-oil finished set: $7325.00
Finish-Ply set: $6887.00
Lacquer finished set: $7906.00
Custom Graphic and Exotic set: $10,327.00 and above.

These are the prices before 5%gst.

There's no black sparkle Finish Ply or Lacquer finish for DW. Tink ur referring to Lacquer Specialty Black Mirra.

oh shit sorry for the late reply, i didn't notice you replied me!

yeah true loh.. but the keyword is "if you can afford it". dunno if i'm generalisation, but i'm quite sure most of us would rather spend money upgrading hardware, pedals, snare and cymbals before branching out to get a kit.

at least for me, i focused on my cymbals, snare and pedal. now that they're more or less settled, i'll be going for effects cymbals. then probably sometime down the road, i'll upgrade my kit.

what's the general consensus around?

sorry OTed..

black sparkle is a new finish that DW introduce recently. this finish is not in the catalogue. i've seen that black sparkle in their web site.
