duncan custom

Yes, according to Beeze. He reccomended it to me. Oddly, the SD Jazz too.

But you want heavy ass riffs, get the Invader. TRUST ME.

Duncan Custom is decent. Another pickup you might try is the Duncan Jazz. Very clear, ringing notes. Supposedly good with heavy distortion too.

Or, the Duncan JB. Well balanced, just the right amount of highs mids and lows, incredible sustain and you can pinch harmonic until your fingers drop off. Think Iron Maiden.

wow we all hear different...

JB is balanced??!!! No way....it is all treble no mids

Custom was original made for EVH in 1980s. Heavy riff enough for you???

Also consider Custom Custom.

Uh, I guess you hear all treble no mids cause it depends on your setup as well. What sorta wood, your EQ, etc etc. I doubt Iron Maiden's tone was all treble no mids =P

Yea, that's why i started the Pickup Review Thread. Personally i find the JB trebly as well. If you listen to Gary Hoey's stuff (he has the JB in bridge), you can hear the sharp treble.

My take: The Custom will do just fine.

I'm gonna pretend I didn't see that. Speaking of strats, check out this one.
