duncan and dimarzio

hmm funny. must be my washburn then. it's got LP spec'd pots and caps (500K, 0.22uf) instead of strat specs (250K, 0.47uf)

agree that hot rails doesn't have the twang. but it stills sounds realy strat to my ears.

used to have the Hot Rails in my Squier Bullet (bridge position), that's when i heard zilch strat tones from it. it's a wonderful humbucking pickup for high gain though, that would suit many guitars.

i currently have the Hot Rails in my Tele & the tele honk was lost with this on board but that was the least of my worries as i intented to do away with the honk...

so how ?? haha .. wats the final recommendation ... for iron maiden , metallica and stuff ..

jia lat .. diff sia to decide ... hope u all can help me

just get the Fender Iron Maiden strat...

Maiden's signature strat's have Hotrails in both neck and middle, with the JBJr in the bridge.

contrary to its name, the screaming demon is actually a very well balanced pickup.. would definitely be suitable for most styles of rock to metal.

don't let the george lynch nametag get to u - he actually doesn't use the recommended SD guitar fretboard (uses maple fretboard instead) and if you check out the SD forums, most people point his tone to amp tweaking more than his other equipment.
