Hi guys.
Need to ask some questions here.
Ok, here goes.
I wanna do some drum recordings for an album. And I want to mix both acoustic drum sounds as well as sampled sounds. How do I go about doing this?
Based on some research, I found using acoustic drum triggers. But don't quite understand how they work.
Say i have a kit all set up. Each piece is miked properly. Overheads are done and all that. So i just place the triggers on each piece. What do I route the triggers into? I understand this triggers would be converted to MIDI data and into the computer. Could you guys recommend me something for this setup. Preferably cheap as well, currently on a low budget as I'm getting other gear too. But reliable and long lasting as well.
Something that works well with a MacBook Pro running Logic. Using BFD2 as the sampler.
Currently saw these equipment,
Alesis Trigger I/O
ddrum acoustic triggers.
Roland Acoustic Drum Triggers.
Thanks guys!
Cheers,
Keith.
