Drum Rudimental Workshop At The LAB!!!

Its $10 for students of the school and $15 for public. Its a 1.5hr workshop which develops the 4 major rudiments that will help you master the other 23 standard NARD rudiments easily. Most importantly, it teaches you how to combine them effectively to create fills and phrases. Hope to see you there!
 
You have to go down to the school to book your place. Each session accepts only 5 people so there are very limited places. Only paid bookings are considered confirmed.

It covers both basics and important practice tips but also includes concepts in building phrases using these rudiments and some concepts on how to play almost any rhythmic phrases that might come to your mind with these rudiments. Whether it is in-depth or not, it really depends on your current level of training.

but knowing alvin, he's gonna give us some gd stuff .. yeahh!!! last workshop i sat in when he conducted was pretty nifty, even for some of us playas been playing 10-20 years still can glean some useful shite ..

Hi, what is the opening hours of musiclab?

i went down on Saturday ard 1pm but it seemed to be close. Was interested in the course. Hope to pick up some new ideas.

Maybe i'll go down again...
 
Hey there! Thanks for coming down. So sorry about us being closed though. We're usually open everyday, 11.30-8pm except for Sundays (open for appointments only).....but something came up in the morning and the Marketing Manager had to go in late. Hi Javien, topics will range from basic to intermediate. There will be quite abit covered and if you're just a beginner, it'll give you a great kick start to understanding rudiments and how to achieve speed, accurarcy and endurance the proper way. Best of all, it teaches you how to apply the rudiments learnt in a practical manner.

Hi guys,

Just finshed the first 3 sessions today and to the softies who attended....it was really nice meeting you guys and thanks for the support! Hope you guys walked away with something....

Apparently tomorrow's sessions are quite packed....I believe I'll be seeing more of you softies....so if you guys happen to read this....try to bring your favourite practice pads along! At least I can study the way you practice on your regular surfaces and possible fix some stuff on the spot.

hey alvin, i must say it was awesome hanging out at ur studio today. u cldn't have been a better host. if u fellas want a teacher thts gd at tech breaking it down for us laymen this is the place to be.
 
It was a good session. Thanks for starting this. It certainly helped me understand some things about my playing and where I can improve on. Thanks for all the tips Alvin. :)

I'm sure this will benefit many drummers here too! :D
