Drum Machine

Am interested to get a drum machine.

Any suggestions? Alesis SR-16, Boss or Zoom?

Depends on style of music.

SR-16 was from 1990 so may sound a little dated (it's okay if you're using it for demos or keeping time during practice sessions).
Not too bad for pop and rock genre.

Boss machines especially the newer DR-770 and DR-880 should be quite good for pop, rock and techno (a guitarist play techno??)

Featurewise, I find Roland/Boss drums easier to program but this depends on individual.

No comments on Zoom as I have not used one.

Trying them out is still the best advice I can offer.

zoom is cheap and usable. try them out
