Hi people!

I'm Gabriel, and currently an undergraduate at NTU. I'm offering drumset lessons that prepares students for Grade Examinations in Drum Kit by Trinity College London, now currently known as Trinity Guildhall. In a nutshell, Trinity Guildhall is an exam syndicate alongside with ABRSM and London College of Music, and more details can be found on the website:

www.trinitycollege.co.uk

I have been awarded a Merit in Grade 8 Practical (Drum Kit), and I believe with my experience I'm able to guide a student in the fundamentals of rock drumming as well as improvisation. I also take students who wants to learn drums without the pressure of an exam!

For more information on lessons and the rates, or to see my portfolio, you can contact me at tricedence@gmail.com or wong0202@ntu.edu.sg... Thanks!

is it well known? all the while i tot abrsm got to be more of percussion. u got to play mallets or timpani as well. talking about drumset, noting beats having a cert in berklee or DC.

hey dude, i'm a little curious as to what the syllabus is like?
do they go through technical routines of diff styles or is it just technical knowledge and such.

I have the soft copy of the complete syllabus. Please approach me with ur email at least so I can send one to you. =)

In short, the exam requires the preparation of 3 songs, where one is a solo written by the candidate. There will be Improvisation and Extemporisation, Sight Reading, as well as Technical Studies.

I also offer lessons without the need of doing the exam too. So just feel free to drop me an email at tricedence@gmail.com for further details.

Thanks! =)

Dearest Drumnoob, why is it not possible that I can do two things at one go? Is it not possible to walk and talk with your HP at the same time? I would like to know.

But do not ever go and degrade the standards of NTU or my course without any proof or basis of argument. I'm serious on this.

For whatever reason the comment was made, the exam is a benchmark of the progress of a student. The higher certificates are approved for teaching at any MOE approved school. You can check it out with the relevant authorities.

A drummer can skip grades cause of his progress. I'm in the business of pushing the creative limits of the student. And it's ok if you don't believe in me. Again, don't make comments on me on which there is no basis.

Thank you.

Gabriel

grade 8

Dude,
you should be touring already. Better get on the scene fast if thats what you want lah. I dont see anything wrong with earning 1k per concert man...do you?

Haha, I love to teach. It's not just a job to me. A grade 8 will not secure you a place in the music scene. There's much more to it. Exposure and networking with local musicians, all these play a part together with music qualifications. With that said, I love to gig too, with one coming up on 10th August =)

AIYA

u didn't get wat i meant. to think u r from ntu.

i simply meant that how good can a part time course be compared to full time courses like those in drummers collective. don't come bullshit here la. useless piece of cert. IF U R GOOD! i would have already heard of u in the scene. MAYBE U HAVEN BREAK INTO IT?

well.. 8O

To Drumnoob:

Hahaha, then I suggest that you go Drummer's Collective, or Berklee College. You'll do very well there. They have bred some of the finest musicians in Singapore right now. Like Daniel Chew and Jimmy Lee. You can ask them how's it like over there =)

If you're really interested in full time courses, then go for it. I wish you all the best =)

Dear Freakae:

Yes I was from the SF previously. How'd you get that? Are u in there now?

well..

drumnoob, perhaps you are still new in drumming I don't know. But do you know there are ALOT of good drummers out there in Singapore that is not mentioned here in SOFT.com.sg ?? Just because someone wants to teach drums and is not famous YET , you want to put him/her down?? Why don't you yourself go try achieving grades like his or better still, go to The Collective or Berklee and get one?? IF you ARE a musician then I don't think you deserve any of my respect because the way you talk just feels like a typical hooligan out there in the playground :)

drumnoob, dude u sound like u absolutely have no idea how anything works. u know who alvin is? he's not well known yet but he will be, u know who ramu is? let me guess answer is no right. but both these dudes could teach and PLAY rings ard ur wanna be ah beng ass man. WAIT so can i really.
