Drum fills

hey, i was just wondering.... what do you guys think of playing songs, with inserting your own fills? issit sumthing bad or good???

definitely something good. drum scores give you a rough idea of the song, and rhythm pattern. you add in your own fills to give the song your own touch. besides, it's boring to play the exact same thing as the original

I usually play my own fills when doing covers. To my band who's the only audience so far to my grooves, they say it sounds okay. So I guess as long as you fills sounds similar (for example, not some double pedal fills in a slow ballad song), it should be fine :D

yes its a good thing of course but it need to be in a corrrect timing so it wont go to the wrong beat like example you do the wrong fill in, you hitted extra note, your normal drum beat will come in too early and vise versa. so keep practicing with a metronome or your mp3
