DO THEY KNOW IT'S CHRISTMAS 2004 - BAND AID 20
2004 version is out!

Where were you in 1984 when BAND AID released the song?

hey bongman, i like your nickname.

reminds me of good times with "cousin mary".

i think the band aid song sucks. but i guess the cause is good

I think its alright lah, at least these UK people can make 1000% nicer music than the US ones nowadays.

BAND AID

I sure like the 1984 version,
hated the Stock,Aider,Waterman-KylieMougie version.

Yet to hear the 2004 version.

Watever, I'll buy the LIVE-AID DVD for $82 at Gramaphone.
How much is it selling at HMV? Borders? yet to chk out.
http://www.liveaiddvd.net/

it was mentioned last week the single release this week
and sells at $7.90. WOW! a good gift to friends.

MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!

...Tonight thank God it's them instead of you !

Jist heard the 2004 version on class 95 today. It's much slower and more piano-based, I think the 1984 is still the best version.

Live-Aid DVD sells for around US28 at Amazon. Even with S&H, it's about US34 (about SGD57). Gramophone price of SGD82 is really overpriced!

errr.. pardon me for my ignorance.

is ordering from Amazon safe?
what if the product is not deliever to your door?
any comments? pls kindly advise. THANK YOU.

$82 or $57, anyway it's good to possess a piece of ROCK history.

1) Bumming around after O levels.

2) Watched the cheesy movie "Together in electrics dreams" with a girl whom I will spend (gladly) the rest of my life with.

3) Bought 2 vinyl copies of "Do they know it's Christmas?"

4) Wondering what's going to happen in the next 20 years. Guess what, it 20 years later and I still bumming around on a Saturaday night typing at a computer forum.

halo!

halo Dude,

Finally see you posting again!
Ah! You reveal your age!

I only own a copy the 1984 Band Aid 12" single,
actually looking for the 7".

There were still lots of pirated cassettes then,
own one of it with other acts - Thank God it's Christmas (Queen)

I think the 80s was the time of exponetial growth for Singapore,
lots of haapening then. Now it's the era of home pirated music!!!
