DIY pedal board

velcro is those sticky cloth thing right? hw do you hold down your pedals? hee..sorry didnt quite get you..or perhaps someone here can post their pedalboard pics?

Using velcro is the same as using double sided tape to hold your pedals onto the board. Except that it's "reusable" and allows you to arrange your pedals in any way you want.

Yes, it IS that black cloth thing. And it is very strong.

Just use enough velcro, and you can hang your pedals upside down.

pedal casing

hmm guys where would i be able to make or purchse a good sturdy casing that's DIY? best is if its the kind of material used to make mixer racks casings

For DIY, you can check out hardware stored. Case just use your old suitcase, and foam lining should be available at the store.

ooh so it means we have to stick the other part of the velcro underneath our pedals?

thanks for those pics yo

yo guys where to buy nice strong velcro ah?... im sure they retail the velcro with BOTH sides right?... ( sorry for retarded question. )

Yea they usually retail with both sides. I bought mine at the hardware store just next to Ikea. Sorry can't really remember the brand, but it's good.

can use laptop bag :D

Big enough for 3-4 pedal and somehow makes people think you're knowledgable by carrying notebook hahaha. Buy the laptop bag at the cash converter for $10 :D

For my case, the velcro strips aren't that well-adhered to the pedals :( Usually, the pedals would slip out of their position with the velcro strips still stuck to the linen on the pedalboard

Also, I think I've got the messiest pedalboard around...I never really clean/vacuum it...now there are hairballs, dried leaves, dust, etc on the linen

Kinda explains your velcro problem lol... hahaha

*lol* But that's not really the problem. My problem is that the strips of velcro themselves peel off FROM the pedals quite easily, leaving the strip of velcros still stuck to the linen while my pedals come loose ^^ Ermm...do I sound confusing?

Ahhhhhhhh. I get it I get it.

Well what do you use to stick the velcro onto your pedals? Double sided tape works fine, and glue is probably about as effective on velcro as using spit. =/

Hmm...my velcro (that comes with my pedal case when I bought it) has its own self-adhesive side...that means one side is velcro, the other side is the sticky part.

The thing is that I wouldn't wanna use superglue or whatever that leaves a permanent mark on the underside of the pedals (in case I wanna sell my pedal or something  ) It's pretty hard to keep them still cos whenever I carry the case (like a suitcase), they'd tend to shift positions or come loose from the jerky movement :/

Orhhhh i see i see. those kind usually wont be very strong.

Try using double sided tape. The thick one. Then when you wanna sell your pedal, tear the tape off, and to remove the remainder of the sticky thing, use a cloth or paper towel and a bit of oil.

Haha, mine's as dirty as yours lol. Dusty and all. Can't really be bothered to get a cloth to cover it up, or even clean it.

Strange your velcro's peel off. Try using those from hardware stores. I'm using them. So far so good, no peelings whatsoever.
