Dive bomb and pull up wide using bigsby system?

hey all,

fellow soft bedokkids again.. haha been exploring the different possible way to learn abt tremolo system. just another check on the bigsby system.. which is the only alternative left for LP,Tele,SG guitar... and with the functionaity of able to pull up and down... can it do the extreme? like dive bomb and whammy up? i search the net ... and it's say the bigsby is good only for a little chet akin and brain sez style of playing.?

is it true??? share your thoughts...

the bigsby aint designed to do divebombs.thats why they invented the floyd rose.

haha, bigsby cant do dive bombs and its not meant to go up..
its more like for vibrato only, if u were to try and go further than vibrato, most likely the tuning will go off..

you do a whammy pull on the bigsby, snap, there goes your strings.

no not that.its a ESP model.was quite surprised when i saw that.quite surprised to see laiho's sig with a neck and bridge pup.

looks new.should be able to do dives and pulls with a catch tho.your strings going out of tune.

yeap, there is also the wilkinson and hipshot floating trem, something like what ur talking about.. they can bend up and down but not too much and will go out of tune fast cause they aint locking like floyd..

I think u can try orange guitar, or Yamaha at PS, though the last time i ordered from Yamaha it took 4 months to arrive (and it's not even a custom model or what, just a regular stock model)

i wouldnt try crazy stuff with that though, Burny LPs are heavier than Gibsons and just thing what would happen if you try smth like what Herman Li does to his Ibanez's =S.

haha, stetsbar is so expensive..
i dont think it can bend up, its just like a bigsby but with a floyd rose style trem arm and does not require routing..

I was just about to suggest this. yes, its expensive, but unlike the bigsby, it requires no extra screws if i remember correctly.

u sure it was the ESP laiho sig? if i remember correctly, its just an edwards rr version of laiho's sig.
