Distortion + boost?

Hi all

Recently i tried jamming with my Beta Aivin Hm-200 pedal. Realised that although it sounded good with rhythm, when playing lead it kinda sound bland. It also doesn't stand out in the jam. I would like to ask around for advice how would one proceed from here, from what i read its possible to have +1 pedal to boost or something? maybe an overdrive pedal?

Same goes for the amp i have at home, is there anything to couple with the in built distortion so i can switch between very heavy tones and lead tones.

Pardon my inexperience with gears, thanks

Some players like to boost their rhythm tone with a tubescreamer due to the inherent mid-range boost that a tubescreamer has. This helps it cut through the mix.

As for your amp, what amp is it?

yes, you can add another drive/ distortion unit in your effects line-up to boost things up. i'm using BOSS' Power Stack as seen above but still include an Ibanez Tubescreamer to boost proceedings.

in fact, i also reinforce my Marshall with a mild drive pedal for the same outcome (Danelectro's Cool Cat OD there in the pic...)

the amp is SG-612R Sound drive @ home. how do i boost it with eg. tube screamer or cool cat? plug the pedal into the "boost" cable point and on it together with the amp distortion?

If its a chain of pedals, i supposed its guitar>hm200>coolcat>NG>amp??

thanks again
