direct drive or usual chain drive pedals

hey guys..
was wondering which of the stated pedals is more better???
what are the advantages for the direct drive pedals?

i need your opinions and comments as i may want to get new double pedals hehehehehee

try them out. I think direct drive ur feet need to be 'seasoned enough'.
and really depends on what genre man..

you thinking of the dude's yamaha FDs on the buy/sell ah.

most people cant get used to direct-drive pedals. it's, i would say, faster and more controlled. but also needs more maintenance - oiling, cleaning up and it's not strap-drive compatible.

i was contemplating buying the FDs on buy/sell but i prefer chain-drive pedals.

different people have different preferences, as lepak has said, try them out. let your feet do the talking.

direct drive seems the way to go now... axis pedals are direct drive and many big names have endorsed it for it's long foot pedal... both have it's advantages and disadvantages but i think the direct drive wld be of a better buy than conventional chain driven/strap driven ones per se.

sorry out of topic :P
comparing the brands maxtone, gilbratar avenger, pearl 112tw, lazer
among these cheaper dp, which is better....

there's no such thing as a better pair of double pedals. different drummers have different preferences. i might love the maxtone to bits but you might not. that's why there are so many brands and price ranges (not only for double pedals), to accomodate the needs/wants of drummers.

lepak put it very aptly, "try them out". go try them all and again, let your feet do the talking.
