whats a 24 pole switch?

Each pole has six lugs (one common lug, and one for each for the five lever positions). This lets you wire guitars in imaginative ways not possible with other 5-way switches.

whoa! thats just sick!!!(in a cool way)i'm lost in imagination now, but that still means that you got 5 sets of settings only right?

yeah ...
i havent tried it tho ...~
bought the normal Dimarzio 5-way a couple days back ~

was thinking of installing a varitone... for more options
but duno if it's worth the price ~

you can get the 24pole switch from davis at 20+ dollars. allparts.

WTF ????
the stupid Dimarzio switch cost me $22 ....
crap .... should have check Davis 1st ~

so you think Davis sell cheaper?
The 4 pole 5 position switch cost $25 at Davis (not Dimarzio switch).

ernie ball vs fender

the fender switch is the most X but has the best feel ... dimarzio too lite touch, Ernie ball (crl) also not bad...

as for super switches.... serie/parrellel wiring etc... 2 each their own...

ernie ball still best value for money... :P

i bought my switch at Ranking(E Ball)...abt 15$ if not wrong..
oh..i forgot Davis sell switch too...

btw u can use the normal 5 way with a toggle or push pull pots..to achieve like the superswitch...or do away the switch and set a toggle each for the pick up
there are lots of variation...same results

thought of putting a push-pull pot ...
but ... afraid the constant pushing and pulling might damage the pickguard~

so ... has anyone tried the varitone switch ?
