The event DIGITAL FUTURE SERIES- FUTURE OF MUSIC is to give attention to musical composition in the television, film and broadcast industries. It will also consider all the business aspects, distribution and current technology environment. CCP will engage, inspire and equip local music individuals and companies to participate and succeed in development of future systems for music distribution and provide platforms for discussion and direct efforts between the US, Singapore and China. We will be planning the event on this subject during the week of the 2009 Asian Media Festival.

The event, which is pegged for December 2009, will have at least 4 tracks: Business, Rights Clearances, Future Technology and CCP/Singapore Cooperation. The event will attract and involve other parties such as: Soundbuzz, Nokia, major label studios, Universal Music Group, Amazon, local artistes, CCP members, local music production companies, CISAC, Tisch School Mediacorp, Ocean Butterflies Pte. Ltd., Peer Music, MTV, Intertrust, Itunes, and Digital Watermaking Alliance (DWA), among others. The evening will seek potential artistes’ performances after the day’s formal sessions. It will also hire a key USA based consultant (likely from the Songwriters Guild of America) to facilitate discussions.

The Role of Music in Film and TV”

The primary objective of the conference is to encourage an awareness and understanding of the business of musical composition by exploring the relationships between composers, artistes, agents, producers, and directors as potential channels for music. This conference will further explore the business opportunities in the region.

The conference will take place during the 2009 Asia Media Festival.

The DIGITAL FUTURE SYMPOSIUM is a highly successful event first launched in 2007 by the CENTRE FOR CONTENT PROTECTION Pte. Ltd.
