Different voices

Here's my current view on different singing voices .. I realize these names mean different things to different people though.

Chest voice - The default voice. Resonates in the chest, throat and head. Vocal chords connected by pulling down at back of throat.

Falsetto - The voice you get if you go up in pitch in chest voice until your vocal chords no longer connect. Throat must be relaxed and vocal chords pulled together as in chest voice. Sounds very silly when untrained :)

Head voice - The voice you get if you pull your vocal chords together at a high range but do not have your chest resonate. Vocal chords are pulled from both bottom and top. Feels like it's in your head, hence head voice :)

Mix voice - Head voice but with chest resonance as well. Vocal chords pulled the same way as in head voice. A mix of head voice and chest voice.
