Hi guys, i juz wanted to know the difference in sound of the these 2 guitars seeing as the RGR321EX is made out of basswood and the RG321MH is made out of Mahogany excluding the different pickups because if i get this guitar i will change both humbuckers. So basically, what is the difference between mahogany wood and bass wood sound wise?

Besides that, how much do these two guitars cost?

And lastly, is it better to get the RG321Mh because it has a 5 -way selector?so that when I change the pickups i can get 5 different positions....

Thanks alot guys....

1. these 2 guitars are appraised in the review section, for your reference

2. mahogany has a richer midrange response, it is more massive hence adding to the sustain factor. however, i own both guitars, the RGR321 does not suffer from a midrange deficit & its sustain is as impressive as its counterpart. do not that the RG321 is offered in 2 finishes: satin/ lacquered body

3. the reviews state list prices for both guitars

4. 5-way PU selection offers a split coil voicing in case you desire a single coil tone. however, you can purchase a 5-way option for the RGR321 subsequently if you think it's more useful for you this way

alright sub, read the reviews, you da man!!ahaha, thanks. which guitar would be better to stick some di marzio's in though?

either guitar would be good, one model isn't comprehensively better than the other. despite the body wood difference, the headstock orientation would influence certain decisions- some people simply can't get used to the reverse headstock.

if you are looking for more midrange inherently, the RG321 is recommended; however, some people can't hear the diff through their amps.
