Before I Get Started, I Would Want To Say That This Is NOT A Hate Msg.

I'm A BIG Fan Of Zakk Wylde And I Respect Him Till The Max.

So,
If You All Have Heard About Zakk's New Epiphone Sig. Guitar.

The Graveyard Disciple,

Its A Coffine Like Shape.

But I Went On To Schecter's Website And Found This.

The Schecter 2009 USA Custom Shop Coffin Blue Skulls Graphic 6-String Electric Guitar.

I Have Seen this Guitar On The Schecter's Website Long Ago, But I Just Notice Its Quite Similar To Zakk's New Guitar.

If You See Gibson's Website, It Says "Presenting... A Zakk Wylde Original!"

I Remember The Schecter Coffin Was On Their Web Quite Long.

So,
Who Copied Who???

Or

It's So Happen That Both Have The Same Idea???

A coffin shaped guitar is not original at all, so even the schecter one is not very original.

Zakk made that ugly guitar in tribute to all other ugly guitars from Bo Didley and ZZ Top. He got a coffin shaped box with candy and other stuff from his merchandise company. Thinking about all the ugly guitars, he thought it would be cool to put a neck on the coffin. So he went to epiphone to have it made just for fun.

It doesnt matter who copies who when its about an ugly looking guitar.

The whole point is to be ugly

lol...its not in the sense that the COFFIN shape is ORIGINAL but rather a Zakk Wylde designed a guitar with his own design thus making it original

Duh....

what's wrong with the english if he got his message across and we understood it?

come on, it's a music forum, not a learn-proper-english forum?

its because of people like you, with a heck care attitude that Singapore's standard of English is often looked down upon.

Totally agree that singapores standard of english is deproving. Starting from forums is a good start. If singaporeans cant even communicate in proper english on the internet what makes it so they can communicate properly face to face.

LadyinTears, did you by chance happen to purchase a gibson bfg from me?:/

i disagree. even forums based in the uk have a low standard of english.
the reason why people type so poorly online is because all they want to do is to get thier point across. &if they've accomplished that, i dont see why we are to be so anal towards their lack of proper english.
starting from forums is infact a bad start. a good start would definitely be from school/work/live gatherings, not online. ;)

no offense is intended, but the word "deproving" does not exist in the english dictionary.

and to LadyInTears, i would like to second what burping_boy said. True, speaking and writing in proper english and abiding by internationally set english standards is important.

but the purpose of language is to be able to communicate ideas and opinions to others. from what i saw, the TS successfully communicated his ideas and opinions across to us and no one has misunderstood him yet.

your especially harsh phrase "its because of people like you" was completely uncalled for.

i suggest you do not even attempt to abide by any specific language standard if you do not even stop to think what the purpose of language was in the first place.

and if you do know what the purpose of language is in the first place, let this be a friendly reminder to you. ;)

ok sorry to have led the topic away. we can all improve our English from our school work or our jobs. For forums, let's just relax and get our point across?

So, "Did Zakk Wylde Copied His Guitar??????????"

The guitar looks different to me, where the neck joint is + fretboard hangover if any, and the placement of the pickups.

Do we really need to write Queen's English in forums? It's a forum and people can write whatever they want as long as they get their message across. I don't see a need for an English teacher here :)

Hmm. well its true that maybe in forums the main focus is to get the message across. But dont you agree that maybe writing in better english means getting the message across easier. Okay maybe not in this thread but i've seen others who may have spoken in atrocious english and many have found difficult to decipher. Im not trying to cause a war of words here. Just stating my honest opinions. I mean after all i cant change what you write on the forums anyway(: (:

This. And I want to second the point about this being a music forum and not a Speak-Good-English campaign forum. How people actually type when online/on a computer is mostly different from how they would when they are given an essay to write,I assure you that.

If you want to try and save the world from "Bad English",I suggest you start with telling the millions of people online to stop typing stuff like "walao" and "worzx" - of course, not forgetting the irritatable l33tsp3ak rubbish.
