Ah! The Moen Pretty Dolly Delay
The good:
Solid construction. Can probably be used to pound your chilli belachan.
True bypass.
Cheap as chips.
Oscillation is killer. The most screwed up oscillation I've ever heard and can get very very loud. Perfect for noise making bands.
The bad:
The Moen is analog voiced, meaning the repeats get a bit muddy. Not good for bassists.
Delay time is rather short (max 500ms IIRC)
Although it is true bypass, it is not grounded properly, resulting in a loud popping sound when you turn it on after a while due to charge buildup. Very bad for live usage.
Large footprint = no good for people with lots of other pedals.
A good first delay to start with is definitely the Ibanez DE7. Cheaper than the DD3 and does so much more.
