Dehumidifier

Might want to consider this http://www.bgwguitars.com/data/acczorbit.htm
I don't think it's advisable to leave that mini dehumidifier in a cupboard with your guitar. The aim is to regulate the humidity level to a moderate amount, not suck out all the moisture completely. Doing so might actually damage more than protect the wood.

Room wise depends on how big your room is of course... and how humid your place is in the first place, is it enclosed, air con or not, or does it keep changing. Some dehumidifiers will have a built in hygrometer (measures the relative humidity) so you can set the % you want it to work at (like setting temperature on air con), which is much better than a dehumidifier that just keeps sucking moisture until it's full, so look out for that.

hmmm.. is it alright to leave the guitar in a cupboard with those sort of dehumidifier that's not controlled by a hygrometer for just a few hours?
