Decided to get back into the electronic music world

Radium49 - No VSTi is bundled. Does come with Ableton Live Lite though.

EMU X - comes with Emulator X Vsti/standalone sampler program + sound library (that's why you're paying almost $200 more than the soundcard alone). Still, I consider this cheap as you have to pay $500 to 800 for a professional sampler program )eg HALion/Kontakt) alone.

Do note that Fruity Loops that you have does come with a soundfont player (although you cannot assign your own samples) and a "drum machine" that allows you to assign your own wav files.

hi . so just to confirm the radium49 is compatible with the emu x soundcard right ? im going out now to get them as soon as i get confirmation

Hey if you wait a little longer, the EMU X comes with a free Xboard 49 (a 49 key controller with aftertouch). The only catch is Creative is lauching this in Singapore on Sept 27.

The Comex fair is very crowded so try to order it online. (but make sure that they honor the free keyboard deal). Salesman at the fair claimes that they will honor it but it never hurts to be sure.

hey i just saw an up close pic of the emu-x . there are no RCA outs ? it uses 1/4 inch outs ? so i have to get RCA to 1/4 inch to connect it to my amp ? or it cant be connected to amp ?

Not a big deal. Get the 1/4" phono adapter from any store selling audio cables (even some neighbourhood hardware stores have this) and use it on your RCA cables.

Have fun. you actually got one of the best deal in comex. Imagine a pro level sound card, softsynth & a controller keyboard for $559. Too bad I don't need the soundcard or I would have bought 1 too.

Hmmm are creative pro audio stuff good? im thinking of getting fire 410 m-aaudio but the Creative Professional E-MU 1820M attracts me alot lol.. so which should i get?.

Depends on your needs.
If you want the best sound at a budget, go for the 1820m as the converters are supposed to be as good as the ones on Pro Tools Systems.

On the other hand if you want portability, go for the Firewire 410 which is slightly cheaper. Do note that the Firewire is more than enough for most home recording purposes; it's just that the converters lose out to the EMU.

But if you want Pro Tools M-Powered, I'm afraid you're stuck with M-audio products.

Ok, I know, sometimes, we do pay for bragging rights.

wait comex is already over . so this promotion is after comex ?? or is there another comex on sept 27th ?? where do i go buy buy it or is it only available online from creativex shop

Oops, you mean you did not buy the EMU X during the comex?
It seems that the offer has changed a little -> only the high end EMU Studio X ($1109) is bundled with the Xboard49.

It's up to you then whether you want this higher end bundle (the main difference is the soundcard which is the EMU 1820m which comes with a breakout box with a lot more analog inputs compared to the 1212m which is bundled with the "normal" EMU X).

confirm the offer changed ?? theres no trace of it at all in the website . it just says available after sept 27th 05 . emu X bundled with the emu49 . so on sept 27th i go to creativex store and buy it online ??

i dont mind the emu x studio with the $182 per month for 6 months scheme . but i tried to buy online i cant find the option for this 6 months installment plan .
