Anyone can tell me how much should a new 1965 fender twin reverb cost? like wad should be a decent price? Not to over priced or something? is 2200bucks decent or over priced?

given that the US street price is around 1k and the conversion makes it about sg1.6k then I would say it's slightly over the odds with transport and gst factored in....bargain hard.

it's sold in our famous music store at $2850 brand new, before their usual discount. So you go figure.

Do some research first.

Goggle for the price, time 1.65 or 1.70 to convert to SGD then add another 500SGD. That should be your street price here. There's only 1 official distributor so there's no overpricing in other words as there are no competitor.

hoho. lifehouse i beg to differ. cos theres no competition and only monopoly prices will be much higher. competition brings to our door more competitive prices and better service attitudes. sadly most dealers monopolize the market here so u can guess wat the prices would be like..

i think 2200 is fair la. you probably can get it cheaper in US etc, but remember that you need to change voltage from 110 to 220, this will cost. cost never mind, but i rather have the original 220 voltage that is installed by Fender rather than have a tech to change it.

i don't work for that "Famous music store". :) just my opinion.

on top of that there is someone that just complaint about bad experience buying over the internet...

Erm. I meant it in a sacarstic tone la. They pretty much set the pricing here so no reference for less informed consumers. The only time they are cheap is during the sales.

they have other fender tube amps besides the twin reverb so you may want to check those out as well.. but a twin reverb at home will be like overkill i think.. unless u have a soundproof room. :)

best is wait for the big sale.

To Indigo:

Actually using the 65 twin reverb for church use. And gonna mic it up
to the P.A. So the amp will be mostly playing christian songs only. Except
when i practise, i would use it to practise blues/jazz/modern rock.

ah sorry lifehouse. i was wondering how come u made that comment when usually your comments r so informing. failed to see the sarcasm there. yeah its kind of a sad thing they r the only ones monopolizing the market. you know what that means pple, someone step forward to become a dealer in fender products please :D

ok, i think the 65 is a good choice for the type of genre you play. but you should go check out the other fender reverbs too.:)

if you play with lots of effects, you can consider the bassman. it's a great amp to use effects on.

another thing you may wish to do is check the fender amp forum. :)

It's kinda hard la. Just go to the Bras Basah showroom and look at how many relics they recently brought in. I'm guessing they ordered more than USD50,0000 worth of amps and guit. Kinda hard for anyone to match them in this area.

My advice is to once in awhile go to HK or where for a good guitar shopping trip esp with the advent of budget airways.

if u tell them u buying for church they could probably give u a slightly bigger discount. But u have to produce a name card.

And yup its great for church use.. on a lot of the christians songs/CDs u can hear the typical fender tube sound.

Oh u mean bras basah they would give more discount if i sae use for
church? Hmm..currently they do not have a twin reverb in stock.

I'll probably be getting from guitar gallery as they promised me they'll give
me a good price. Hmm..use for church, but the church is not gonna fork out
a single cent, its jus like me buying the amp and that i can bless the church
in return in a way back.

Hmm, but the sad thing is that, my worship coordinator aka soundman,
say that he is gonna change to in-ear system. So it sae if i were to buy the
amp, the stage volume will be too loud and look messy with amps. So in a
way he's discouraging me from getting it.

So the reason why i am getting is becox to use it for church. No point i buy
already and use it at home, cox neighours are probably gonna complain.

So rather in a dilemma now, i was thinking if its pointless to buy, i would
spend the money to get an american fender deluxe strat at Hss.

So wads ur view?
