Hey guys, the movie is finally out in our sunny island, considering it was released months ago in Japan and the sequel is already out over there.
I have been a fan since the manga was released and i just tagged along with my friend to watch it.
Overalll i gave it a 6/10 and there's the trailer for Death Note 2 : The Last Name after the credits.
What are you guys's views and thoughts of the movie?

DUDE! I am a total fan of DeathNote as well. The manga was sooo awesome. Sad how it ended though. I really like Lighto.

And yeah.. The movie wasn't really great at all. I would give it a 4/10.
The actors don't really look like the charators.. Shouldn't they at least try to spike L's hair? And Ryku's voice was not really what expected it to be like..

They also made and anime version and it's much much better.

hmm...actually i give 8/10 for the movie...in 2 short hrs they managed to give a clear story and i really think how the actor act as L is great...he portraited the character well...and i think ryuk voice r pretty suitable...i think its the same person tt did the voice for the anime version also...

cant wait for part2 of it...

well, i guess your right about that. but it's a personal thing, i didn't like movice that's all. i just think that the anime is better overall. i like anime and manga's characters than humans.

yup...anime r a transcript from the manga itself where else the movie will have a different way of ending...anyway..i cant wait to get my hands on the vol13 of it..alrdy ordered..waitin for it to reach...

catch it if you can..haha..O is important but there r still times tt u need to relax yourself abit...tis movie is worth catchin...all my friends tt watch it give it a gd rating and start to read the manga or catch the anime...

how come from DN go to Os? haha.
the manga is definitely better as it tells the full story whereas the movies i heard ,
it will just end in the first arc of the story.

ahhh i was so disappointed with the movie lah! they like twisted the storyline a lil here and there.. like how come that fbi agent's fiance get killed? how come raito's gf got killed?? i hate it when they distort the storyline from the manga.. lol.

i thot raito in the movie was kinda good.. but L seemed a lil weird. maybe he's not used to behaving as eccentric as L in the manga lol

i think they shdn't have made this into a movie.. this kind of story needs space to develop.. u cant squeeze everything into two hours imo.. *shrugs*

A great show. Although the storyline was twisted a bit but overall it gave ppl who nv read the manga a basic idea of the show. Cheers to DN

watched last saturday and it never expect it to be such a great movie! now im really hooked into the whole deathnote thing and I'm looking forward to part 2 and for my friend to lend me the whole series of manga.

Eh, i thought the whole comic only got 12 books? how come someone say got book 13th?

man i want the 12 volumes of manga as well. i only got book 12.
Book 13 is a guide/profile book. It tells u L's real name and stuff about the series.

light is gay...the one in the anime looks more like good looking. Light in the movie sucks ass!! but ya la his laughter quite evil. I think its a good movie...well worth my money tho there were several changes from the manga.
