Dead skin on finger muting open string

Hey guys,
The dead skin on my fingertips is blocking the open string next to the string im holding,causing it to be muted.Eg,

g|----
d|--0-
a|-5-
e|----
It mutes the d string when i hold the fifth fret of the a string.Any solution or tips to this problem?

Play using the fleshy part of your finger. I have dead skin too but it doesnt really affect my playing.

using your fingertips should eliminate all the muting you're worried about.

Really just work around it and try whats best for you,we could give you 1000 methods but its all about personal techinique =D

Alright,thanks guys.Currently bending the note by a little bit seems to help.
