Hello all.. As the topic states. Yes, I am very pissed off at Davis Guitars. A man in particular [I think he's the owner].

Here goes:

My friend, A, and I went to PS in search of pickups and knobs for my friend. So, while A was browsing the pickups and knobs at the counter in Davis, I decided to try a classical guitar and one of the staff members helped me get it down and blah blah I played some stuff. BUT, I didn't play classical stuff. And I was holding the guitar in classical position BECAUSE I feel more comfortable. Nothing wrong yeah?

Ok, next.
I was gonna get an ESP there actually, so I troubled one of the staff to help me get it. I told the staff if it was too difficult to get it, forget it. But he insisted on helping me, fine.

OUT OF NOWHERE this cynical man [the owner] behind me [while tending to another customer], just tells me that I'm causing alot of trouble by making his staff help me take the guitar from the display porch. WHAT THE HELL EH?? I CAN'T TEST WHAT I WAS GOING TO BUY? And what's more, I asked kindly too and didn't force the guy to help me.

AND TO ADD FUEL TO THE FLAMES!

He said something like "You weren't playing classical music, so why even use that guitar" Or something to this point. In a very rude way. It really disgusted my friend and I. So that means I can't play in any position I like? WOW!

So anyway, once the Eclipse was in my hands, I just decided to just riff with an amp the staff plugged in for me, to explore what this guitar can do. AND, barely even 1-2min with the guitar, that rude owner stomped over and unplugged the cables, etc, took the guitar from me and told me someone needed to use that amp and said something like "Ok you're done". WTH! I hadn't even finished exploring the ESP.

So while walking out, I told him "I was planning to buy the ESP, but you're very unhelpful." However, I feel very unjustified about the way Davis treats their customers. Very unprofessional. So my friend decided not to buy the pickups and we just left.

I was treated as if I had no money to buy anything and went there to just play with guitars. [He was tending to another family who wanted a guitar for their daughter or something, so I can assume that's why? PS: I WASN'T IN HIS WAY]

I don't know if he was having a bad day or what, but this isn't a way to treat a customer who was very keen on getting a highly sought after guitar from them.

I understand your frustration but if you have any problem with shops/owners, please feedback directly to them.
