Yes. Many of us (note:many. not all) has received bad service. I mean Very bad service from them. I just can't tolerate it anymore. They are only official PRS dealer in Singapore. And i usually make my PRS gear purchases there. But recently, i've been trying to get an PRS SE Single Cut tremelo from them for quite a long time already. Everytime I Call, I always will be told "Call Back Tomorrow." and the phone hangs. Like WTF? Come on? Im human too.

Always there will be excuses when i call again. And when i went down personally, i was told. Oh.. Warehouse say coming tomorrow. Like wtf? How many tomorrows i go through already.

So i wanna start a poll. To see if you have experienced rubbish service from them, and if you like their service to change

Yours,

I understand how you feel but not everyone at Davis is like that. So far I have no complaints about their service. I felt that they have improved a lot since those days when they are located in a smaller store where Uncle David and his wife are the only persons who tend the store. You just have to ask the right person :)

Alternatively, you can get your PRS from Brendon. He is having a Xmas sale :)

The uncle with specs, the aunty, this lady and this guy. These four aren't very friendly. I'll avoid them if i were to buy anything there.

However,There is one other lady, rather tall and also ,there used to be this bald malay dude, now these two are the nicest and most helpful at davis guitar.

The shop is alittle squeezy when packed with people..even where there is 1-3 customers,i still feel the place very cramp. Maybe that explains why they are so grouchy?haha.

PRS are beautiful!!sweet...love the hollowbody!

good luck on ur purchasal dude!

They always hire people who happen to be unapproachable. I always see new people there except for the two old people there. Still their policy for being unapporachable hasn't changed.

they never gave me shitty service but they never gave me good service either. i think they could do alot better to treat the people who come in. just because i'm 17, doesn't mean i deserve less respect from them. i always get my strings there. can't really find rotosound else where:)

The main fella, David..is a stuck-up, arrogant prick. Very rude. I am amazed still to today why he still as a substantial amount of customers flocking into his shop. He's always been like that, and i don't think he'll ever change. He's daughter is very hot, though.

yes. thinking of his. but its $50 more. dunno warranty also go to where? so still considdering

$50 more? I thought Davis selling the same price as him. Anyway, warranty is only on electronics and they do not get spoilt easily. If it does, replace them with better parts. :)

I think your approach towards them is just so wrong. I've never had any bad experience with davis guitars in all my years of patronising with them. Thats why I hardly shop elsewhere. The only reason I go to other shops is when davis don't bring in wat i need...

is it me or does every single thread about Davis end up being about Janet? =/

cos i believe shes the reason why ppl still choose to go to davis. she makes p for all the bad shit customers get.

yup every thread abt davis is like this

is it me or does every single thread about Davis end up being about Janet? =/

I will only approach Janet when I need to have something shipped in. On every other occassion, any one will do...just as long as I get what i want fast and be done with my shopping....

~meh~

Speaking of getting what I want fast, on 80% of my visits to Davis, it goes a bit like this.

Me: Can I get that pack of strings/cable please?
Salesperson: *fumbling with something or other, on the phone* wait ah
After about 5-10 minutes of waiting at the counter right in front of salesperson
Me: Um can you just pass it to me so I can go?
Which then results in the salesperson either throwing the object at me after payment, or further ignorance.

In short, my experience in Davis has never been anywhere close to satisfactory. Don't even get me started on the uncle with glasses there. Talk about rude.

Quit whining, don't like em, don't buy from them, simple. I did the same to Swee Lee last year, I went there to look for cool stuff, then order online.

Pointing out a shop's poor service hardly counts as whining. Why does there have to be an ultimatum as to how we deal with these shops? We also praise other shops for having excellent service, would you count that as ass-kissing? I was merely sharing my personal experience with the shop. True, the ultimate 'screw you' to a shop would be to stop patronising it, but I don't think that actions have to be taken to that extent. After all, it would be better for everyone if the shop was to have better service standards. We'd have a more pleasant shopping experience, and they'd give themselves a good name which will no doubt boost their sales.
