Customizing bass

No lah... routing a J bridge pickup cavity shouldn't be something beyond most of our "luthiers" here. You'll need a new pickguard and electronics though.

Then again, you could probably get an SX for the price of what they'd charge you for the work.
 
it's not that difficult.. i got mine done up to be a P-J bass and an active-passive bass through kelvin from guitar connection.. lots of wiring to settle, and you've gotta know what kind of pickups you want.. so u'd better be specific when you're doing the modifications..
 
i saw this thread on Talkbass abt this guy that owns a rb warwick corvette than he sand it down and than oil it. it looks amazing like the real wick just without the contours, amazing stuff, make me wanna buy a rb wick and do the same.
