Customer Rants

Hi all,

I just wish to start this thread to show my displeasure of some of the crappy service we are getting from Music retailers.

First of all, I'm an objective person and I do understand that business entity is to sell and make money. However, some retailers are simply too much and here's my rants and rationale. I hope others will feedback and contribute, good or bad it's ok. It's all individual experience anyway....

Sinamex:

Resting on the aural of being Taylor's exclusive distributors in Singapore and M'sia and dunno where else.

My Taylor's finish is cracking up and they dun give a hood. This, I can understand from Taylor's website disclaimer but being a local agent, there should be value-added service. Not slapping the disclaimer up and pushing everything away as if it's a plague.

To be fair, some staffs have good service...and I have bought several items there on many occasions. I know who to look for and who to avoid!

As for Taylor guitars, I will rather go to Tom Lee, Hong Kong since there are wider selection and the price is decent. Since there's no warranty anyway. They even have clearance sales!

In today's day and age, putting other products down is not the way to do business. Consumers should do their 'research' but agents should offer a balance compare contrast. It is knowledge and advises that value-add. The point is, understand consumer's needs and not place blanket statements just to benefit sales.

All I can say is, with globalization, budget airlines and weak US dollars, buck up on your service or we will buy oversea or via internet. If we go head on, we dun save much, but you won't earn either.

Share your experience, help these retailers to improve on their service and hear our voice.

Dude, frankly, i don't think we need to voice out anything.... good businesses would have observed the "move to overseas agents" if things were really turning out bad.

Have your bad experiences? Don't want to deal with a local service anymore?

Then just go buy abroad....

Don't worry/bother to post such things... there will be a 1001 counter arguements and 1001 people will come in with their own exceptional service experiences... basically, the thread will go no where other than... virtual talk.

Just move on, buy from other agents... its not your loss at the end of the day then.

you can try to buy timothy from them, they make the brand so should be able to give you ample after sales support for it

Thanks to all bros contribution so far...

Bro Van,

Tried the M'sia Tim, not bad really, but I prefer the China Blueridge (Maestro) and Johnson (Davis) for a beat around.

Bro Shred,

End of the day, I'm not condemning them la...as mentioned previously, I still buy from my 'preferred' sales staffs there but I guess the boss need to know out front. He's a choice to act or not to.

And I am interested to know if I'm the only sucker or....

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post or that this post might in a way affect the business sensitivity of SOFT.

dont bother about ranting about bad service. 99% of the threads on bad service are usually closed within a few posts. so if you have any feedback, perhaps you could send an email to the various dealers and see if anything is done. if all else fails, import. if cant import, ask someone import and you pay them :D
