Hi all,
I just wish to start this thread to show my displeasure of some of the crappy service we are getting from Music retailers.
First of all, I'm an objective person and I do understand that business entity is to sell and make money. However, some retailers are simply too much and here's my rants and rationale. I hope others will feedback and contribute, good or bad it's ok. It's all individual experience anyway....
Sinamex:
Resting on the aural of being Taylor's exclusive distributors in Singapore and M'sia and dunno where else.
My Taylor's finish is cracking up and they dun give a hood. This, I can understand from Taylor's website disclaimer but being a local agent, there should be value-added service. Not slapping the disclaimer up and pushing everything away as if it's a plague.
To be fair, some staffs have good service...and I have bought several items there on many occasions. I know who to look for and who to avoid!
As for Taylor guitars, I will rather go to Tom Lee, Hong Kong since there are wider selection and the price is decent. Since there's no warranty anyway. They even have clearance sales!
In today's day and age, putting other products down is not the way to do business. Consumers should do their 'research' but agents should offer a balance compare contrast. It is knowledge and advises that value-add. The point is, understand consumer's needs and not place blanket statements just to benefit sales.
All I can say is, with globalization, budget airlines and weak US dollars, buck up on your service or we will buy oversea or via internet. If we go head on, we dun save much, but you won't earn either.
Share your experience, help these retailers to improve on their service and hear our voice.
