hi guys, just started out not long ago and i think its about time to get my own bass.

i came across these 2 at citymusic :

Precision Jazz Bass : http://citymusic.com.sg/webshaper/store/viewProd.asp?pkProductItem=359
Precision Bass : http://citymusic.com.sg/webshaper/store/viewProd.asp?pkProductItem=358

i know that the difference between j and p is the tone and stuffs, but what about p + j?

would greatly appreciate if anyone can enlighten me with the difference of these two.

-i usually play punk, rock with my friends-

p+j gives you flexibility in selecting which pickup you want to use using 3way switch (p, p+j, or j).

not sure about these range; some bass with p+j allows blending of the 2 using a knob.

so it is recommended to get p+j eh?

since its so flexible and stuffs, no problem playing different kinds of songs.

I noticed both have the same woods, considering the small price different it seems to me p+j is the way to go.

I used to have a FP10, I think it sounds dark, not sure how much range the J pickup can give you though.

i tried the p+j the other day, sounds awesome.
didn't get a chance to try p was in a rush.

anyway think i'll just get that p+j, thanks guys.
