Cost of shipping a guitar using vpost?

Shipping to sg is pretty ex in general. I had to pay like $110 for the cheapest method of shipping my ESP back from Canada last year and it took one month + I had to go to the customs building halfway across the city and pay import duties and all that crap. It's a pain in the ass.

I dunno how I'm going to bring my amp back because it's bloody heavy.

Dont lah, dont take risk. Go buy one Mesa or H&K or Koch preamp pedal, up the gain of your amp better.

No choice bro. last time I brought back some pedal from US, at SF security checkpoint there, angmo already asking whats the electronic parts I am carrying, luckily I got my EBMM with me, maybe they were stunned by the beautiful top of the guitar (thru x-ray they told me), then they bring me one side spotcheck my hand luggage. Chio petite Black airport security officer("protecting their homeland", so they say on their batch..) then check and CHAT with me, then I sui sui board aeroplane. The human factor actually helps to make thing easier. But where shipping matters are concerned, cannot means cannot.

You go USA hioliday lah, then try to bring back yourself.

How much they charge 1kg for excess baggage? like $20usd right? Your DC-5 at least 30-40kilo bro. Ship back here lah. If not sell away, come back downgrade to a DC-2, I sell you, then I buy Mr Hyde's MarkIV..hAHA.

I'm not sure for cathay pacific, I think it's like per piece or something, but yeah, it's pretty heavy. I dunno lah. I might switch to something else but generally I think it's still cheaper to buy used over here and bring back than to go home and buy for most of the high-end amps.
