friends- are there any shops here that does the conversion from VHS/ Cassette tapes to CDs? so many of my fav albums are on cassette tapes, it seems that the record label has stopped churning out CD versions of them, i'm trying to save as many as i can.

what are the charges like? thanks in advance...

you can still find those shops around simlim square or http://sg.auctions.yahoo.com

I can do that for VHSes I got 2 VCR tape players to ensure that the tape would play in either one. problem is that : cassette tape is abit extinct already. I can convert it / or you know what, actually even teach you how to convert (pretty easy actually) , but your PC's gotta be at least P4 for stability. since i'm assuming there's hours of stuff you got there. and most importantly you need to have a stable cassette player, my last cassette tape player kept "biting" . hungry biatch. so I threw it away. pm me or msn/email at blueprintstudios.org@hotmail.com with details on how many vcr tapes / cassettes etc. if you want me to do it I can do it 50 to 70% of the standard market rate.

my current cassette tape player has this anomaly- after a few minutes of play, the tone is suddenly deprived of treble; just becomes too bassy. rather than buying a new tape player to indulge in DIY, i was thinking- just pay someone else to do it...

PS: one more thing- can crumpled tape be saved...?

ah yes, this's the problem with old cassette players. sometimes it's not even treble or bass but "pitch" shifting problems.for a cheaper alternative you could buy a working condition cassette player from cash converters.

unfortunately crumpled tape cannot be saved with my experience unless I work under forensics (those CSI shit).
