Condenser mic?

Hi, recording newbie here.

I'm looking for a good bang for the buck condenser microphone. I need something that can pick up sound clean and well, taking into consideration that my room would be silent without outside noise. My main purpose for the mic is to record foley and various sound effects for post-production work. I'm also hoping for it to be multi-purpose and can record vocals well too if the need arises or just for some quality fun. Any recommendations (price/location)?

Thanks alot,
Ikiru.

PS: I want mics using XLR connection because I'll be sending it into my UX2/M-box 2.

i've seen quite alot of shops selling mixers and microphone . might as well say shops selling recording equipments.

yeah . go check them out .

I always get good result with AT AE5400. It's a condenser mic which can doubled as a dynamic for live occasion. Not overly sensitive. It uses the AT4040 diaphram.

Other alternative, the Zoom H2/H4/H4N can do a wonderful job at this as well. It will capture the room acoustic nicely and give more air to the sound. Avoiding much post processing after that..
