hello, members of soft.com forums!
i am looking for a pair of computer speakers that will be loud enough to compete with my guitar amp.
yes... i know it may sound ridiculous but i love jamming along to GNR, Aerosmith, metallica (etc...) on my itunes and the guitar amp im using is a Vox Night Train (15 watts all tube head)
the problem with my current computer speakers (some 35 dollars creative speakers) is that they tend to distort before reaching anywhere near the volume of my guitar amp, causing my itunes tracks to.... sound like shit..
my aim is to obtain a set of computer speakers that operate at the same or around the same volume as my amp.
NOTE: i know NOTHING about terms like "Peak RMS", "RMS", "maximum output" etc.... also, im willing to take all suggestions.
budget: the cheaper the better?
criteria: reasonably reliable, reasonably durable, acceptable sound quality, high volume.
i'm looking for cheap and loud computer speakers. any recommendations?
