Hi folks,
I'm new here. i'll do a self intro later on in a new thread. Meanwhile, with all this current negative posts about music shops around, i chanced upon a great newly opened music shop called BASS88!!!!! (thats right, it has 5 exclamation marks on the name, so you gotta say it with real excitment to name the shop properly).
Its located in the peninsular vicinity, somewhere below one of the hotels. But, you all must be dying to know about my experience there...so without further delay....
They had a doorman for the shop which was a nice touch. Greeted me promptly as i stepped close to the door and the swung it open for me to enter. I was also served champange upon entrance and hanging up my coat. The owner of the shop then showed me around while i was offered some truffles to go along with my champange. It was a huge shop that featured mainly shcethers (thats right shcethers) , custom shopped guitars from witamalu, africa called WEED and tokyo feenders.
Was given all the time in the world to test things out, i felt a little bad as my only intent was to buy a spare string for my guitar. An E# string, specifically from Kurt Magnum, which they had in stock and served me all the same even when they knew i was going to buy a string. They even offered to deliver it to my home! How cool is that....i of course, was honoured and accepted the offer.
Overall, highly recommended. 10 bombay stars/ 10 bombay stars
