Comparison on Pedals

Hi everyone,

I would need some help on selecting the right pedal. Basically the pedals that I'm looking at are Boss Metal Zone MT2, Boss OD2 and Boss DS1. These are the pedals that I'm thinking to choose from. Currently I'm playing songs by Paramore, Underoath and Silverstein. So I'm trying to find an effect that would really have a good sound for this covers. Just need your advice on which would be the better one. If there is a pedal that's better than my listed one, go ahead and tell me about it.

Also, can anyone recommend me a cheap single pedal for delay, thanks

Thanks :)

I hope I'm in the right section

yup.

buy the danelectro coolcats

1. coolcat drive
2. coolcat distortion
3. coolcat metal

buy all 3. abt 120bucks can get u all 3 already. cheap and freaking good pedals they are.

drop by tymc, or give em a call

cheap delay: ibanez de7

or you could have a poor man set up, like mine here.

i thought you had a tele? haha
well my setup is relatively cheap, but does the job really well.
love the amp most, got it damn cheap too :D

I don't recommend the Boss MT-2 Metalzone. I've heard it in studio, tweaked it for a moment and disliked the tones (too thin, trebly and weak) and besides, it is more for extreme heavy metal like death metal, black metal, etc rather than the rock / post-hardcore bands you've mentioned.

For the genres you play, I'd recommend the Boss DS-2 Turbo Distortion. It's pretty much the same as the Boss DS-1 but with more distortion on tap. More than enough to play post-hardcore I'd expect. My friend can play A7x with it.

Get both Cool Cat metal pedals + the delay that sound better, and are cheaper than any one of the pedals listed.

just curious, TS: how did u end up with those three choices? the mt2, od2 and ds1.

Actually not too sure. Just think that its within my budget for these second hand pedals. Do you have any recommendation besides the listed ones? I would really love to get a pedal that can suit my type of covers.

oooh. because IMO, none of the ones u mentioned suits the songs that u play. there are many other pedals that suit ur needs, even BOSS branded ones. try checking the whole range of boss pedal (and have a listen!), u'd be suprised at ur current choices.

one recommendation: beta aivin hm 200. a quick yahoo/google search gets you the dealer details and the price.
