I have something to ask about setting up of a floyd rose guitar .

In the 1stvideo he stated that a low action is about 2.5mm from the 6th string to the 12th fret and 1.5 mm from the 1st string to the 12th fret or something like that.

My guitar, floyd rose, has almost equal action across the strings(about 2mm from string to 12th fret for all 6 strings) . Am i doing it correctly ? Haha because i took a long time to set up this axe and it doesnt go out of tune easily even with the whammy bar and so i wouldnt want to make corrections unless necessary

go to ebay n search for emi copper tape . i bought bout 4m for bout 12 bucks including shipping if im not wrong . i just did the shielding after watching the vid . damn it really helps quite abit .

I think any other adhesive copper foil would do the job well but the adhesive must be of a conductive base.

It not only lessens the buzzing noise when im not playing. Even when i play the tone has changed , it took away much of the unwanted hissing sounds which i used to have. Now i can up my gain to get a much meaner sound without fearing that all these hissing sounds will interfere with my playing.

^ Thanks for the tip mightyboy88. Regarding your question, if you are comfortable with your action then you should stick with it. If not, you should bring it down to a point without buzz.

Any alternatives than ebay?. Any shops in SG that sells them?

u can try to find industry copper foil , probably must search for those industrial suppliers then somemore need to find conductive adhesive spray . quite a hastle .

3M has some of these tapes i believe you would be able to find at 3M suppliers, but it would be those kinda industry supply shop once again, haha ulu ulu in some technopark kinda shop
