Comments on Epiphone Les Paul Standard ?

Additionally I'd like to mention a few things about the SZ320MH. It does have a more substantial neck, but if you're after a slim fast neck akin to the Ibanez Wizard series, it might not be your cup of tea. The overall make is pretty good, on my older version of the SZ320MH, there is very little paint run and the edges of the set-neck design are very cleverly concealed. The Duncan-Ibz pickups are also sufficient if you're not after stellar tones, they perform reasonably well as stock units, and are modelled after the SD '59 in neck and SD Distortion in bridge.

If you're looking for a guitar that sustains well, is comfortable and matches the tonal characteristics of an LP, the SZ320 would be a good choice for under 1k. (List price $900). That being said, all the SZ models, except the prestige one, are more or less the same, you're just paying more for the cosmetic enhancements on the SZ520QM and the SZ520FM, so it really depends on whether you're willing to pay for the additional stuff that doesn't really add to tone. However, do select your piece with care if you're buying one, I've seen models with frayed binding and various inperfections, but it doesn't occur often.

Oh, and don't let the korean make deter you, it's a good value for money axe and it's quality can be compared to similar or even higher priced models made elsewhere in Japan or America.

But I suppose if you're really after the shape and look of an LP, nothing less than an actual LP will be sufficient
